“Music” is 16×20 inches on wood. I soaked string in paint and snapped it across like a guitar string.

The dodecahedron is cut from a Silhouette cameo machine. Dodecahedrons have twelve sides and I’m thinking about dodecaphony in 21st century classical music. This is what I was listening to as I produced this work.

The ball moss was collected by the San Gabriel river in Georgetown, Texas and is suspended off the piece using a dowel and clear string. I love the contrast between the organic curls of the epiphyte, which are visually musical, and the harsh lines of the geometric figure. All on splatted lines.

There are two heavy coats of resin on this to protect it and give it gonzo shine.

It is available.
